Winter time fun in Nashville

Nashville, TN. Children laughing, great music playing and a line of food trucks make up the current scene of Nashville’s Centennial Park. Located in the middle of downtown Nashville, this historic park hosts the annual Music City Winterfest.
Music City Winterfest is an annual outdoor festival that can be enjoyed by the entire family. There was plenty of entertainment from Nashville State Community College Jazz Ensemble to the “Nutcracker” by Sound Riot Ensemble.

Nashville’s famous food truck the Grilled Cheeserie was completely surrounded by customers and new comer Funk Seoul Brother! Food truck treated patrons to its Korean and Japanese street food. There was a plethora of cuisines available even for some of Nashville’s pickiest eaters.
Many local vendors displayed their unique products for customers to view and purchase. Providence Jewelry Designs, MoonDog, Project 615 and were present showing how eclectic small business represents Nashville with one of a kind product.
Jennifer Taylor brought her two kids and golden retriever, Rufus to the festivities. “This is our third year coming to Winterfest. It is a great opportunity to see new businesses and support the local community. The kids love the music acts here and the piñata game,” Jennifer Taylor of Brentwood, TN described.

The 2016 Music City Winterfest will benefit Nashville Fire Fighter Operation Warm an organization that provides coats to kids in need. Winterfest is also sponsoring Project Nena, a project that supports North Nashville’s initiative to provide an innovative approach promoting diversity and inclusion in the neighborhood.
On December 10, 2016, hundreds of Middle Tennesseans attended the Winterfest and enjoyed what the great city of Nashville had to offer: fun, music, good eats and a positive sense of community and volunteerism.
