Both the Nashville Entrepreneur Center and Nashville Chamber of Commerce provide a plethora of information on how to start a business in Nashville. Nashville is growing at a rapid pace, according to? There are plenty of small businesses utilizing the free and paid services from both centers.

Nashville native Jessica Adam’s knows how to serve a good lunch.

Adam’s, who has worked in events banquets for the past 15 years, started her catering and event planning business, Collaboration of Excellence, two years ago to feed her passion and love for cooking.

“I have a passion for event services. But I also have a passion for cooking since I was little,” she said. “I have looked at it as a hobby and not really a way to make money until working at Opryland.”

Travel and Leisure ranked Nashville in its top 30 best American cities to visit. Nashville comes in at position number 5, and the food and dining scene is starting to blossom as new restaurants and catering services open, according to… (is there a local article that talks about how many new businesses like this have opened?)

Her Hot Chicken Cupcakes, one of her signature dishes, is one of the most requested items on the menu. She also features cake pops, shrimp deviled eggs, and creole shrimp omelets.

A veteran in the food services industry, Antwan James is co-owner of Ritas Bar Services has been in operation for 9 ½ years in Nashville. His clientele includes Kings of Leon, Kevon Edmonds and lots of executives for during the Country Music Awards.

Rita’s Bar Services provides bartenders to parties, work gatherings, and local clubs. Antwaun’s company services Nashville, Franklin, and the Bellmeade areas of Tennessee.

As the business continues to grow, the plans for Rita’s Bar Services will include branching out to northern Nashville as well as south of Nashville the Antioch, LaVergne and Smryna area. With this move, Antwaun will be able to say he services the Middle Tennessee area.

When asked both Jessica and Antwaun both currently do not use mobile applications besides the calendar that comes with their phone. Word of Mouth advertisement plays big role in their clientele. When asked how they wish to expand their business, social media came up and creating a website to house information on both businesses are a common goal.
