Known as Music City, Nashville, TN has a new set of creatives painting the city. Charged with making the city beautiful, artists such as Adrien Saporiti and Kelsey Montague put their paintbrush to brick. From old communities like East Nashville to newer communities such as The Gulch; Nashville creatives express their contributions to the communities through art.

“I Believe in Nashville,” created by Adrien Saporiti is the mural to visit when on 12th Avenue South, Nashville, TN. Saporiti’s artwork graces four buildings in Nashville and the 12 South Dental Studio is one of the locations in downtown Nashville. Country music artists such as Brent Morgan, used the mural as a backdrop in their PR and music video for “Miss Behave.”

A 20-foot mural of very detailed wings can be viewed in the Gulch. Artist Kelsey Montague’s “What Lifts You,” winged mural is hard to miss on Nashville’s 11th Ave S. The mural is a center of attraction between business.

Many tourist and locals alike visit the wings to take a picture with it or of it. It is conveniently located next to Biscuit Love. While there is a big set of wings for people, there is also a short set of wings to the right of the larger set.

The shorter set can be used for the little kiddies or that little pet to take a pic with. While the mural lack color, the breath of artistry is striking with its two-toned; black charcoal background with white paint atop.

Color Theory Studios, “Chambers East Logo,” is nicked named East Nashville mural. This community is one of few older communities in Nashville.

The Color Theory Studies are trying to fuse local art and give a visual facelift to older communities. Through art, they are preserving the history of Nashville as well as making it a more appealing place to visit and live.

The three murals are by no means the only murals in Nashville. There are quite a few around the city. All of them shedding a little history about what makes Nashville home to so many. All of them showing a creative side of Nashville whether embracing music, culture or community.
